Oh wow theres such a big difference. I like the back loops one. It looks cleaner

I use both ways. Personally prefer the "X" sc

Update... Though Im team x-stitch, recently I had to make clothes for a softie and clothes turn out to be nicer with V-stitch.

I generally prefer the X stitch but have found when I work with the really small threads to make mini/micro dolls its easier on my hands to use V

Personally i use the x for amigurumi as its tighter with my bad tension.!
