Hi Wakara,
I just watched the video you recommended. We never really covered European history outside of the UK and the world wars, so there was a lot of surprising facts I did not know. I would love to walk among the forest at the beginning of the video.
Funny enough, hiking through Scotland is also on my bucket list! You can rent cabins on the banks of some lesser known lochs, which I think would be more fun than a hotel. Just watch out for the capercaillie! They are bird native to Scotland, and very feisty. Look up the video The Capercaillie bird defends its territory - David Attenborough - BBC wildlife to see what I mean. If you ever come to the UK, other beautiful places I can recommend are the Lake district, Snowdonia, South Downs and the moors of Devon. |
