Thank you for re-introducing me to the wonderful works of Mary Hickmott.  I subscribed to her magazine for many years.  One of her designs was my first attempt at Hardanger, and although I would put Janice Loves books as the best example of teaching this type of embroidery, MH was the person who first inspired me to have a go.  So maybe I should revisit her other masterclasses and have a go at blackwork too.  Thanks Langstep.
