Thank you for you kind words! The design looks more difficult than it actually is. The designer did a great job of separating all the fractional stitches and single strand stitches in the color key. And that makes it much easier!

O WOW Jamie !! Awesome ! Am so glad you love this !  I am not sure how the Rate function work, or I  ...

Agree with you, Jamie.  Her designs have lots of vertical rows, with different colours quite scattered.  Similar with her Wisteria and Poppy.  With Poppy, I do all the vertical stitches for the stalk in 1/2 stithces, completing them later.

For Wisteria, like fuchsia, the florets are individuals, so a lot of starting/finishing/restarting.  You reckon needle parking may help ?

One nice thing about VE's designs is that it builds up quite fast, a leaf/floret can be completed within 2 to 3 hrs.

Cheering you on, Jamie :)

Cheers, p

I tend to stitch all the colors of a section at a time. So if i'm stitching leaves I'll take a green and stitch all that shade of green in the area i'm working on. That section might be the whole page  Details Reply Post time 2012-10-9 09:53

I tend to stitch all the colors of a section at a time. So if i'm stitching leaves I'll take a green and stitch all that shade of green in the area i'm working on. That section might be the whole page or maybe just 2 or 3 leaves depending on my mood.

I don't know if parking would be great for this chart. There's only 4-6 colors per flower so it doesn't really bother me to run my floss across the back. But i wouldn't run it from flower to flower, i'm pretty sure that it would show through. I also don't give a rats patute how the back looks. You could give parking a go if you think that it will work better for you.

So which one of these lovely designs are you stitching? do we get to see pics?
