Day one of my first HAE attempt. Started to grid it out but I got irritated after the second row.... Never gridded out anything before and Im going to free hand this one too!

I am making HAED Hannah Lynn - QS Spring explosion Mermaid now :)
It is the first time I have a very nice process and I see the end with a HEAD chart :D Ive started some before but never finished..
I dont even mark it... I used 18 ct aida as I am not a linen kind of stitcher. Dont feel comfortable enough trying such a big project on linen. Especially as I havent stitched anything but tiny

Oh, I never grid the fabric. I prefer to mark the pattern with an orange marker.

That was my idea too. Only 80 stitches wide. Only 250 stitches long. Can only work on it on weekends with my job so I spend a lot of time stitching when I can.
