[Processing Crafts] My first HAE attempt....

Day one of my first HAE attempt.  Started to grid it out but I got irritated after the second row....  Never gridded out anything before and Im going to free hand this one too!

Congrats!
I am making HAED Hannah Lynn - QS Spring explosion Mermaid now :)
It is the first time I have a very nice process and I see the end with a HEAD chart :D Ive started some before but never finished..

Oh, I never grid the fabric. I prefer to mark the pattern with an orange marker.
Which fabric do you use?

I dont even mark it... I used 18 ct aida as I am not a linen kind of stitcher. Dont feel comfortable enough trying such a big project on linen. Especially as I havent stitched anything but tiny  Details Reply Post time 2013-4-24 06:40

I dont even mark it...  I used 18 ct aida as I am not a linen kind of stitcher.  Dont feel comfortable enough trying such a big project on linen.  Especially as I havent stitched anything but tiny kits on linen and that was like 8 years ago...

I am using 16 ct aida since I work without a hoop or frame. I never stitched on linen :)

Fabulous progress for only two days!   I think trying a storykeep as a first attempt at a HAED is a great idea.   You will love the detail!

That was my idea too. Only 80 stitches wide. Only 250 stitches long. Can only work on it on weekends with my job so I spend a lot of time stitching when I can.  Details Reply Post time 2013-4-24 07:32
