Home Depot, and Im sure other home improvement stores, sell plastic tubes meant to hold florescent light bulbs. They come in either 4 or 8 foot sections. I get them, cut them down to size, and store my projects rolled u.

thanks, these are wonderful tips, i think all of us have different project to do at the same time and it could be hard to begin one again if we are not able to store all the things we need in the correct place.

Thanks for generous sharings :)

I am thinking about storing my WIP rolled up in tubes, but not sure which - plastic or paper.  Am also concerned about acid content - acid free paper is not commonly sold where I live.  Anyway, it would be worth the effort looking for them.

Right now, I have the current project folded up (sighhhh) and stored away in a plastic bag between stitching sessions.
