the gridlines are done with a pencil, but I am thinking of removing them off as it is still visible after stitching.

There is a Craft Pencil that disappears after it is dampened. I have the one that fades with the light.

Hi, Think it is called Chako Ace and the Violet that disappears is Chako Ace Fine Marker Violet. It is Japanese. I am in Australia and you can buy them from Spotlight. Hope this helps.
