I’ve started putting mine on bobbins (plastic ones) as I was doing each project but wondering if there’s a better way, also thinking of storing them by number rather than colour which I didn’t think I would do until I started looking for certain colours
Oh, storing floss is like a little ritual for us stitchers—gotta keep those colorful treasures tidy and ready for action! I like to organize mine by color families, so all the reds, blues, greens, and neutrals have their own little “neighborhoods.” Some folks swear by plastic bobbins where you wrap your floss, labeling each with the color number—makes it easy to find exactly what you need without a floss treasure hunt. Others go for floss organizers with compartments or even those stackable drawers, which are great if you have a massive collection (like me!). If you’re feeling fancy, you can even keep some skeins on ring binders with bobbins for portability. The key is to find a system that keeps your floss tangle-free and accessible—because nothing’s worse than trying to wrestle a knot when you’re ready for some serious stitching time!
