I have finally finished my afghan, with LOTS of help from @Weezie. Its even in time, my granddaughter hasnt arrived yet.

Oh my, that came out beautiful! I knew you could do it! That is a beautiful stitch and the aqua color is gorgeous, especially in person! You did a great job for your first project!! :)

Is she going to be wrapped in it when she comes home from the hospital?

Just think, a couple of years from now, this is going to be her favorite blankie, being dragged around the house, comforting her when she needs to snuggle, covering up her dolls and stuffed toys, playing peek-a-boo, covering her while she listens to a bedtime story... shell find a hundred other uses for it, Im sure, but best of all, shell know it was made with love by her Grandma!:loveliness:

Yay! Im so happy to hear you got this finished and with time to spare! It turned out beautifully you did a great job! Just think...you just finished something that will be cherished for many, many years! We received 2 gorgeous afghans when our son was born and those were the most touching and prized gifts. I cherish them and plan to have them passed down the line in our family.  Thats what you just created! Be proud of yourself! You did excellent work and it is so much more than just a baby blanket :loveliness:
