[Finished Crafts] Britty Kitties finished

I finished stitching my granddaughter's Britty Kitty stocking yesterday. No wall I have to do is find the right material for backing, sew it together, and send. The sewing is quicker and easier than the stitching, but I'm sure my granddaughters don't care about how it got together, just that it's theirs forever. I recommend the Brittercup stocking designs. They are fun, even when you change the threads and colors used, and are quick to stitch. I've included the Britty Puppy stocking.

Well done!

You are modifing the chart to make 2 different stockings or there are 2 similar chart?

Comments

I also used Ginny Miller Flower Thread that I've had forever for the chipmunks. I wanted to try out some options and it turned out pretty well.  Post time 2013-11-17 23:49
Thank you. No, I modified the colors used in the design. Both are separate charts. Weeks Dye Works thread is charted, but my granddaughter loves pink, so pink ornaments and metallics for glitter.  Post time 2013-11-17 23:48

These came out absolutely adorable!  I wish I was better at machine sewing my daughter wants a new stocking but I have to rely on my sister to put it together my skills on the machine are basic at best.

Comments

And thank you. You should give it a shot. Try something small and sew straight stitches. Leave the flourishes for later, or at least cross stitch something for your sister for helping out.  Post time 2013-11-17 23:47
You can put the stockings together by hand stitching as well. Takes longer, but it's really just straight stitching and slow around the curves. Nothing fancy. I hand stitch the linings to the stocking  Post time 2013-11-17 23:46
