Inside was this leather case for my new tablet that I got last month. Ive been using it without a cover and already scratched the screen, so I had to get a cover quickly! I love this one, it is not too bulky like some of the others Ive seen. I wanted to get red, bu it was nearly double the price and would also take 2 extra weeks to ship, so I decided not to wait.

I like the nexus 7.. its a really great little 7" tablet. How old is your daughter? If shes a kid who just wants a tablet to play around with Id get something cheaper, but if shes old enough to take care of expensive electronics, Id highly recommend the nexus 7. Only thing to be aware of is that its screen scratches MUCH easier than some other tablets to make sure it goes in a case or has a screen protector on it right from day 1. I am so mad that I managed to scratch mine within 2 weeks of getting it! Luckily its in a corner and isnt THAT noticble most of the time.
I have heard good things about Nexus tablets. I might start comparing prices. Maybe there is a good boxing day sale somewhere. Whichever way I go though I will definitely be getting a heavy duty case!

Shes almost 5. Her brother has an iPad for school and she thinks shes ready for a tablet too. I dont think shed do anything silly deliberately but I do worry that shed drop it. Shes very clumsy.

Oh for a 5 year old I would get a very basic tablet. THere are cheaper ones that are designed for kids - they have shock proof cases so the kid can drop them and not break them.. also, they are set up so the kid cant get on the internet.. my nexus has a million different ways I could spend money without barely paying attention, even inside games.. for a kid that young I would definately get something that has some serious parental control
