The extra stretchy, all-over ribbing pattern of these mitts make them very forgiving in sizing, which also makes them perfect for gifting! They work up quickly and are great for using up small amounts of stash yarn.
The pdf pattern includes adult and child sizes. As written, it’s a single color mitt with an optional decorative edge, but can easily be customized with stripes of different colors. I used stripes to help stretch my stash yarn a bit when I didn’t have quite enough of any one color.
This is an advanced beginner / intermediate pattern and assumes knowledge of front post and back post double crochet stitches. It is written with a starting chain, but in the notes I suggested using a chainless foundation hdc row instead. If you know this technique I strongly recommend it as it makes the cuff edge more stretchy. If you don’t know this technique, It’s a good one to learn - you’ll never want to work into a chain again!
