great tips, I would like to stitch more using metallics but I am not keen on stitching with them because they are hard work ;P

This a handy tip.
I usually try to dodge around using metallics, as it frustrates me!
But will have to try these tips out.

I have finished a Dragon by Stoney Creek some years ago using metalic threads.  A Challenge but I enjoyed it.  Now find it very difficult to work with these, but plan on trying again using this method, so thanks for this info

very informative.

i do not have much experience with metallic thread.  The most I did was gold thread which i have problems.
