My experience is use DMC threads, I work for years with it, no problems.
Other threads can lost their colours, it ruiends your stitchingwork.
But I dont know, how much you can spend for threads. :)

I find the cheap brands are really ok. For any project. Im more of a freelance stitcher. Lolol. I also love trying differant local spinners and weavers floss on offer.

Thank you for this as Ive been debating on getting kit/floss kit on Amazon with a variety of colors as Im learning, but wasnt sure as I cant find a conversion chart for other companies with a lot of them.. but going by this, it seems like the cheap/no name brands of floss will be just what Im looking for as a learning agent as I can try loads of colors as well, without spending big bucks. :)

Безусловно, самые практичные, это DMC. Но, в примитивах и подборах использую и другие, более дешевые нити. Главное, что бы были более-менее качественные. Нити из Walmart COATS вполне достойные внимания.

I dont think it makes any difference as the human eye does not see a difference in stitched textures.   The only reason I buy branded is so that I can use charts with floss colours.  If you have silhouette or not many colours charts to do I think using cheaper threads is sensible and cant think why you would want to throw them away, or why anyone has thrown them away as stated in this thread.
