For Christmas 2013 one of my lovely presents from my Auntie, Uncle & Cousin's was an iPhone cross stitch case! I was well excited when I got this, as I've never seen them before and knew that I would in theory have an iPhone case that NO ONE else has, because it would be unique.
I had put it aside until I could work out what it was that I wanted on the case, until a couple of days when I finally worked out what I wanted.. So I counted the squares and put it all onto squared paper and drew what I wanted on the case.
There was a little booklet of different design's but I didn't want those, even though they were/are really nice.
After about an hour or so of working out where to put the design, and working out how I would place it, including personalizing it, I started stitching. It took me a couple of hours to get it all together, but this is my final piece:
iPhone Case
This has been stitched in 1 strand of pale pink and 1 strand of pale blue. These are the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness colours.
I have done this in memory of the baby that I lost. In March 2010, I had an ectopic pregnancy that ended in a rupture, meaning I lost both baby and a tube that day. I spent so much time coming back and forth from the hospital having blood tests, examinations and scans that my mum and I decided that it might help me by naming my baby, and that I did.
Only trouble is, I am torn between leaving it the way it is or should I add in the date below, if I did add the date it would be backstitched, I want the name to stand out more than the date.
