Sewing Tips needed

Bleu

My next project is a shoulder-bag of felt for my daughter.



First I stitch the heart, than a sheet of felt with passe-partout should be sewn on the front side of the bag.

I am not a good seamstress. What do I need for a needle .so I can sew the felt sheet on the bag?
Are there special needles for felt?
I have no experience in these things. (sewing,felting)

I would think Bleu a regular needle would work perfectly.  It is sewing after all.  Try taking some thread and a needle and on a scrap piece do a few stitches and see if its OK, if  you need a larger seam.......try using a larger needle or two strands of thread.  I would recommend two threads, just to make it sturdy, since it is to be used.

Ill try this, first to sew on an extra piece of felt,
sometimes I stand on the line,
and didnt think of the nearest match result ;P

Chenille needles often work well in felt.
