[Skill Help] Help - Amount of Aida cloth needed

I am new at doing patterns and currently have a project that is 6.43" W x 7.36" H (85 x 99 stitch) on 14ct Aida. How much additional material do I need to frame this when completed. I guess what I am asking is how much material do you add to the edges once you know your design area.

Thanks

Framers can do real well with as little as an inch all around I'm told. I've also been told a good 2.5 inches or more all around is better.

I agree with karriboo.   The more material the easier it is to finish the project; however you plan to finish it.

I agree with karriboo.
If you want space (air) between the work and the frame I think 3 or 4 inches on around is better.

I would also leave about 2 inches of space. Perhaps a bit more or less depending on the size of the project. Sometimes one can be leave too much which can get in the way of a good framing job, which happened to me once.
