Aida?

Anyone here still using aida cloth or am I the last hold out?  Ive tried evenweave, but still go back to aida.

I cant remember the last time I stitched on aida. I love evenweave. But if Id learned on it I probably wouldnt be stitching today. Then I didnt like it either but it grew on me. Now I stitch mostly on 28 count because its available locally and because it makes the finished piece look nicer.

I prefer Aida too. I have skin contact allergies and cant use many of the evenweaves because of the fibers they are made from. Drives me a bit nuts as there are some really nice hand-dyed ones out there but in a choice between "pretty" and not itching, not itching wins every time!

i am aida all the way here as well. I tried evenweave but did not like it. I recently fell in love with 16 count aida and the love affair continues ;P

I use both, just depends on the finishing you want to give to your work.

Well, I see Im not alone in my use of aida.  There are some really nice hand dyed fabrics out there, including aidas.

I prefer to stitch one over one and Aida doesnt look so good,
I only use Graziano or WDW

I use both as well.  With my eyesight getting worse, evenweave gets harder and harder to see!
