Almond cookies
These are excellent and so easy to make
2 cups and 1/3 cup of almond ( grind the whole almond in the food processor for about 30 seconds)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp butter
1 egg
1 tea spoon of orange blossom water or rose water
3-4 drops of pink icing color
About 20 pieces Whole Almond
powdered sugar for decoration
Preheat oven (356 f degrees)
In a bowl, mix the sugar with the Almond meal, Add the egg, softened butter, the orange blossom water and the drops of pink icing color,
Mix with a spoon or your hand until well incorporated. The dough will be sticky.
Make small balls of the size of a large grape or walnut...
and roll them in the powdered sugar
put the balls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet ( or a non stick baking mat
Put in its center a whole almond
Bake for about 15 minutes, ( they will be still soft)
Let cool completely then remove from the parchemin paper
