Ive been wondering.... Ive seen the crochet hooks with the fat handles and was wondering if they made enough difference to warrant replacing my old ones. Can anybody give advice?

Bigger handles on crochet hooks provide a more comfortable grip, reducing hand strain and fatigue during long sessions. They’re especially helpful for people with arthritis or joint pain, and they offer better control, making it easier to maintain consistent tension.
As far as I know I have more or less the same thing. the only difference is that they are more comfortable to handle and should not tire of the hand when working.
I made a handle cover for one of my hooks with rainbow loom elastics - thats always the one I go for now, its very comfortable. You can buy the fatter handled ones on ebay from China - a whole set will probably be about the same as one hook from your local craft store, admittedly they may not be quite as smooth but Ive heard good things and the one set I got isnt as good as my old ones but its fine (and a lot more comfortable to use).
