Cast on an even number of stitches
Row 1 (rs): Knit all sts.
Row 2: Purl all sts.
Row 3: Knit all sts.
Row 4: Purl all sts.
Row 5: *k1, p1; rep from * across.
Row 6: p1, k1; rep from * across.
Repeat rows 16
for desired length
