XO sauce is quite famous and useful in cantonese cuisine. It makes the dishes quite delicious. I made some last week. The ingredients are as following mentioned: dried shimp, Chinese ham, dried fish and dried scallop. It took me more than 90 minutes to finish the sauce. And its quite a good present for my friends!
The XO comes from extra-old cognac...................... as the sauce is a high quality, prestige and luxury item............and from the time it took Lisettech to make it (and the ingredients) I can quite see why!:lol
