Altair Cap with Colorwork Trim - Jared Flood - BrooklynTweed Winter 13

From the designer: When designing, I like bringing contemporary shapes and traditional techniques together – in this case, using a bit of old school colorwork to trim a more modern hat shape. The trim pattern is repeated again – with a twist – in the crown’s 6-pointed star motif. Choose two highly contrasting colors for a bold, graphic look, or two subtle tones for an understated nod to tradition. I like to think of this as a “throw-on-and-go” hat – the crown’s top-loop makes for easy hanging on wall hooks or coat racks for easy access when you’re running out the door.
