This hat was designed for DK weight yarn. The hat takes only one skein, and is a great choice for both semi-solid and variegated colorways as the garter stitch design helps to prevent pooling. It is also super elastic due to the garter stitch and the German twisted cast-on and is (for the most part) one-size-fits-all.
For those of you wondering, Rikke is a wonderful globe-trotting customer of ours who was the first one to test knit the silver sample for Sarah, and the hat is named in her honor.
This hat has been knitted by many usering sock yarn as well!
