Aaah!  I see!  So, it creates a dimensional effect.  I've never seen a work like this "in person" and a picture doesn't show textures very well.  That's very interesting, thanks for explaining.

honestly, I can't even say that it makes a difference in real life - I'm nearsighted ))))) But I know that it's supposed to, so I try to do it :)  Post time 2015-7-3 19:34

This is lovely!  Frustrating as it may have been to stitch it looks a lot easier than the Teresa Wentzler design.  I would love to stitch the TW but it is way beyond my capabilities as it has too many quarter and half stitches for me to deal with.

i didn't understand one thing about your post (5threads etc...) but your final work is amazing.. !

there are 6 threads in a strand of muline, and you stitch with 2 of them. But in Dim designs there are many instances when you stitch with 5! instead of 2. On the same fabric. And thank you :)  Post time 2015-7-3 19:42

I don't find quarters and halves that hard, but the thick threads - they bunch all the time, and the work goes 2 times slower! And I needed to use thimble, can you imagine? The thread was so thick that it was painful to push the needle, even though I used a thicker one than the ones that I use normally.
And thank you for mentioning Teresa Wentzler to me, I've seen one of her designs, but it didn't impress me; those that I saw now... wow. Maybe I'll tackle them in the future.
