Materials Needed
Pelican…”Red Heart” worsted weight yarn in white, grey and yellow, scrap of black for eyes, scrap of
white eyelash yarn for feathers on top of head.
Fish…variety of coloured yarn
2 small googly eyes for each fish (optional), 2 larger googly eyes for clams (optional)
Clam…worsted weight yarn in 2 shades of blue, “Red Heart” soft touch in white and scrap of brown
Crab… “Red Heart” sport weight yarn in red, “Red Heart” soft touch in white and scrap of brown
Pipe cleaner for crab eyes
Size 4 mm crochet hook
Stitch marker I use a scrap of contrasting yarn
Yarn needle (large eyed)
Fiberfill
Hot glue gun, or white glue for fish eyes (optional)
Notes
Finished Pelican measures 4” x 8”, the fish measure 1”x 2 ½”, clam is 3 ½” diameter when shell is closed,
A portion of this pattern is crochet in continuous spirals where the rounds are not joined. It will be stated
if rounds are to be joined. When working in continuous rounds, place stitch marker at the beginning of
each round.
