Clover and Susan Bates. If the yarn or thread splits with Clover, I switch to the Susan Bates.

I have some that have a nice rubber handle like clovers, but at a fraction of the cost. I got them from amazon and they're much nicer in my hands than just pure metal which requires my fingers to grip just a little too weird and gives me cramp.
