I recently did up a pair of socks in a bamboo sock yarn.  For socks I've found that the bamboo has not kept it's shape as well as wool, but so far, other than that, they are wearing well.  They are warm on my feet though and comfortable.  They also feel softer on my feet than the wool socks I've knit so far.  The yarn I used was manufactured over 10 years ago, so I'm sure manufacturers have improved their blends and processes since mine was made.  I'm finally working on getting my stash down:$ so my experience might not match up with a newer yarn.

I used %50 bamboo and %50 cotton yarn in one of my project, it feels like silky whe crockheting and it's more shiny than pure cotton. I recomend you to use without hesitation.

I love bamboo yarn. It has beautiful shine and drape but no stretch. It is also available very cheap in lots of lovely colours and is machine washable.

It's lovely and soft, but very slippery. I wouldn't use it for socks, but a jumper with bamboo needles is fine.

It is soft and silky, does not stretch, but tend to be splitty. Similar to mercerized cotton.

Well, it's very soft and a nice type of yarn if you're looking for natural fiber !
