Patons Shadow DK in yellow for the 3 smallest sizes approx. 218 yards (2
balls), years 1 - 3 approx. 218 yards (3 balls), years 4 and 5 approx. 436
yards (4 balls). I would like to add that I have been generous with the
amount you will need, no one enjoys finding out that you need more yarn to
finished your project!.
For the collar I used Rowan Lenpur linen in purple, and Debbie Bliss cotton
DK, you will need only one ball of two different tones of pink. For the smallest
sizes you will need only 60 yards (25g half a ball) of the purple colour,
the yellow on the collar is included on the amounts given.
As always you can use any DK yarn, for my american friends you can find
the weight standard here on the vogue knitting website, it is marked as 3
light worsted weight.
Crochet hook G (4mm)
Tapestry or yarn needle and sewing needle and sewing yellow thread (this is
optional, to sew both parts together it makes a much neater seam)
