It is a top-down, one-piece, symmetrical shawl. The body is in garter stitch and the border in stockinette stitch. This pattern is great with thick and thin yarn, boucle, mohair or other types of yarn with different yarn weight. It can be made into smaller sizes; just use smaller needles.
Gauge is unimportant.
