My black cat was very ill with bladder stones, he was in a veterinary clinic,
a stone was so big that they could not resolve chemically him, he had to be surgically removed .
When he came back home, he had 2 kg lost, he was very disoriented and confused.
He bit and scratched me, I was very much afraid of him.
Now he is healthy again, but...........he gets everywhere gray hair.
I did not know that cats get in old age or stress gray hair.
Being master of the house and being so ill and unable to boss everyone about as normal he had to find a way to let you know that he was still in command.:(
Yes, cats can turn grey after a major operation, especially at his age.................. and shed fur by the handful when recovering, but as long as hes replacing it with lovely healthy fur, there is no problem. I hope he will be his same old self again soon - he may act a little more aged; a little more sedate but with a little time and putting back on the weight he lost hell soon look like his lovely portrait again.:)
Hes beautiful! Poor thing just didnt understand you were only trying to help him. Im sure he still loves you! My friend has a black hat with 2 white hairs that never fall out. She says he was kissed by an angel. Perhaps your baby was too. :-)
Very nice work! Your cat is adorable, ( i love black cats), and i hope he is fully healed and still has a long life to give you back all the love you feel for him.:)
