For the multicolored hat:
• I Love This Yarn sport weight yarn or any sport weight yarn in 5 colors, about 1 oz of each color
• US H8/5.00 mm hook
• 2 buttons in 2 different sizes

For the purple hat with the wide band:
• I love This Yarn worsted weight yarn or any worsted weight yarn, about 2 oz of each color
• US I9/5.50 mm hook
• 4 small buttons
