How do I open an XSD file?

I have downloaded an XSD file but am unable to open it.  I have tried to find programs yhat can convert it or open it but have been so far unsuccessful.  Unfortunately I am no expert on PCs!! Please can someone help or give me advice on how I am able to open the pattern file.  Many thanks.

XSD-files open in Pattern Maker, not PCStitch. If you do a google search for Pattern Maker Viewer, youll find a free download for this viewer from the manufacturers web site (hobbyware).

patternmaker viewer is free on hobby ware.com you can open them in that and print
