Earning Credits

Ive been watching the activity on my account and still cant figure out exactly how credits are earned.  I thought it was through downloads, but after many the number didnt change.  Thought is was through uploaded patterns to share, but I havent loaded as many credits as I have.  Just curious as to what actions affect the credits received.  Thanks

This is the formula:


punched into google translate is    (Total Points = Posts X0.1 + topics X0.26 + Good Topics X5 + online time (hours) /1.5)

I think its something like (10 comments/replies =1) + (4 new threads =1) + (each digest =5) + (hours online)   all divided by 1.5

so say you made 40 comments and 4 new threads and were online for 10 hours = (4 + 1 + 0 + 10)/1.5 = 10 credits

I think anyway. It seems to vary a bit and I dont keep track of every single thing I do to check it.

Go to your SETTINGS... then click on POINTS.... click on MANAGE POINTS  It will give you a breakdown ...

I understand how the points as far as gold coins are earned, I just dont understand how the credits for leveling up are earned.

And there isnt much difference in permissions between DIY.1 and DIY.2. Each level takes longer to get to. More permissions are allowed, it seems, in the higher levels.

My opinion is once you reach level 2 there isnt much to get excited about. You will get a bit more per hourly task and can rate more. Frankly, I think more about GC than credit, which dont make that much of a difference after level 2. My advice is dont fuss it, comment and upload/download as you want, but keep an eye on your GC.
Too many spurious replies out there just for GC or credit already. :)
