I absolutely love to cross stitch, so much so that I end up with pieces I dont know what to do with.  There are pieces I want to do that I have no interest in keeping for myself and know of no one to give them to.  Anyone have any suggestions on what to do with finished projects you dont want?

Donate them to a secondhand store. Anything I have around the house that I no longer want and its still in good shape, I donate to the local SPCA store. Its run by volunteers and all proceeds of sold items goes to the SPCA. Perhaps you have something similiar you can donate your precious work to.

I didnt know organizations like that would accept crafts. Knowing that they do is wonderful and we have several rescue foundations here I will check in to.  Details Reply Post time 2016-3-8 04:11

Another suggestion would be to check with your local senior center.  Our center sells crafts as a way to raise funds.  They might really appreciate the donation.

Another great suggestion. Wish I knew before that these kinds of items were able to be donated.  Details Reply Post time 2016-3-8 04:48

You can frame it and present it as a gift to your friends.

Any charity will accept the item(s) for auction too.  Reach out to a few worthy charities and see if they will take them.

Local schools, libraries or hospitals are a great idea - then lots of people can enjoy your work.
