Cost of patterns

I feel the need to express my thoughts about some of the posts on this site. I have noticed that some members upload several files charging 50 Gold coins for each of the files, which we are obligated to purchase, then when you download the files we have to pay another 30 Gold coins for each, then when you open them, only one of the files has content the rest are empty. First of all I feel that charging 50 Gold coins for each of the files, then another 30 Gold coins for each is a little steep and unfair, especially when you open the files and only one has content and the rest are empty?

The files are not empty, they are just compressed in a way that may make it look that way if youre not familiar with that particular way of compressing. You would not get the full contents if you did not download all the files - you would most likely get an error message, and youd be asked for the missing file(s) by the decompression program.
An empty file would be 0 kb, while the files you will find for download here are typically several mbs.

Ok? But I still feel that charging 50 Gold coins for each file, then another 30 Gold Coins for each download is ridiculous. Just my opinion.

For principles sake I will not download a pattern that charges for each file, if there are multiple.  I also will not purchase patterns that are more than 50 coins as I feel it is just too greedy.  While I go out of my way to highly rate any poster that charges nothing or a reasonable amount.

I totally agree with the OP. I do not understand the use of rar. files when zip files do the same thing and are much easier to deal with.

Thank you! I agree, some patterns are worth the 50 Gold coins, but as a one time payment for the entire lot, and not each file. Then each file at 30 Gold coins, eats up a lot of Gold coins! And yes I also feel that that is very greedy! I bypass any pattern where the uploaders request is too high!

Some patterns eat up over 300 Gold coins! I find that excessive, and greedy; and some of those patterns are NOT worth it!!! Before you know it youve downloaded 2-3 patterns and you have no Gold coins left!!! Charging 50 Gold coins for Reading permissions for each file, and sometimes there are a ridiculous amount of rar. files, I find to be ridiculous! Really!!!
