Do either of them turn a regular picture into a cross stitch? I want to make a pic into a pattern, I tried pic2pat but my picture has a lot of browns and didnt do a good job for me.

i have seen stitched picture made with pic2pat and i can say it was looking terrible , i wouldnt have stitched something not made by professionals , but its everyone choice ..  Post time 2017-6-25 17:40

PCS made good files when they were HUGE charts.  The best charts needed to be like 15 inches wide doing one over one on 28 ct fabric...  Enormous!  The most successful one I had was a tiny, simple picture, and I wasnt wanting to cross stitch that one.  The Magic Doll drawings are originally around 3", and the cross stitch ends up around 7" when completed on 14 ct.  I dont have a ton of tiny pictures.

I use PC Stitch but not for cross-stitch.  I use it for graphs to crochet afghans.  Have made some really pretty ones
