I was always worried about the clamp on my scroll frame damaging my stitching or breaking my plastic holders on the no-sew frames,
Got this from eBay, its called  Elbesee Helping Hands  and basically you attach it to your scroll frame then clamp the top of it to your lap/floor stand.
Comes in 3 sizes 12, 18, 24 inches and has 2 strong magnets to hold needles and scissors !
I am a happy bunny :D

Its a brilliant piece of kit, I love the way it leaves the rollers on your scroll frame easily accessible, no more un-clamping it to turn the fabric up and those magnets are great, really strong, my scissors dont fall off even when my cat knocks the frame over ... which he does frequently as hes jealous of it sitting on my lap, everytime he notices Ive put it down he goes and rubs himself all over the edges :lol

Ive had one of these for a few years.  I dont use a floor stand but i hold the extender bar meaning i keep my hands off the fabric :)  I punched some holes in a  magnetic board tied to it to rail with twine and clip my pattern to it. As its tied with string i can move it back and forth easily.
