I can not verify my email in "tasks"

I am trying to do the "verify email" task but, there is no "verify email" button. When I clicked "apply" it said it is for people who havent uploaded an avatar yet. I uploaded my avatar awhile back. I dont understand what an avatar has to do with email verification. Can you please tell me how I can I verify my email? Thank you!

Im having this exact issue except i cant upload an avatar picture cause im on mobile. So I cant do any of the tasks.
