Question about a crochet instruction

Hi Everyone,

Im currently doing a crochet doll, but Im stuck on one of the instructions:

1. MR, single crochet 6 times. (6)
2. 3sc into 1, 1sc. Repeat 3x (12)

Im not sure if I understand what step 2 is asking me to do. Would someone please be able to put it into words for me?

Truly appreciate the help!

In the ring you should do 6 sc.  Row 2) stitch 1 do 3 sc, stitch 2 do 1 sc, stitch 3 3 sc, stitch 4 1 sc, stitch 5 3 sc, stitch 6 1 sc this makes 12 stitches

1)      6 sc in ring.           2)  i would do 3 sc in next stitch then 1 sc in the next 3 sc in next 1 sc in next then 3 sc in next and finally 1 in the ladt
