    colourfast means will  the colour stay the same when I wash it  :)
if the colour washes out or runs then its not colourfast
your english is very good by the way :)

Thanks for the explanation and the compliment! After I dyed the fabric, I only washed it once so far, and the colour didnt wash out, it stay the same.
But I dont know if it if washed repeatedly. :D

hello! I have a question:

Does the Aida doesnt shrink when dyed?

Of course we all know that it should never be laundered prior to craft work because it tends to contract when the finished item is washed in soap and water. please enlighten me on this one.. thanks

I am getting tired of using the standard fabrics and would like to try dying some myself. Thanks to all for the tips and the one about the vinegar. I would not have thought to use it.
