Where do I find the rules and how this works

I have registered but I am not able to find information on how this works and what the rules are. Can someone give me the link please.

For the rules click "Forum", then "Forum Bulletin" Look Here: http://www.pindiy.com/forum-2-1.html Check the threads. Most of the info is there in several thread links.
As far as the gold coins , points go Heres how they add up:
Every day you log in you get 50 gold coins, and 1 credit.
Every uploaded pattern gives 20 gold coins. ( I forget if you get a credit or not!)
Every reply gives 5 gold coins. After 10 replies ( I think but am not certain.) you get 1 credit.
To upload a pattern you have to check if the pattern already exists. (Click in the white space below the blue "Forum" and enter the pattern or pattern author to check.

Thank you,  I was confused.  How does copyright protection work though?  Should the artist, writer be the person to upload a pattern?

Who pays the artist if not?
