The shape of this hat came about by accident while making a hood for another design. It fit more like a beanie than a hood. While trying it on, we decided the fit created a great beanie with the look of earflaps. I love so many things about this beanie, especially the finished edge. It has a loose fit and can be made as a regular beanie (without flaps) too.
