who know "dc" what does it mean?we found in patter "dc" . but i dont know what it is

What pattern? Knit or crochet? Can you provide a link? The only thing I can think of is "Double Crochet", but it depends if it is an crochet pattern written with English terms or American terms. Please provide more info.
