“Distinct Dunes” is a two-colored flared skirt worked sideways in narrow wedges with short rows. The skirt panel is worked flat in back and forth rows, the bottom edging and waistband are added after blocking and grafting and worked in rounds. Both child and adult sizes are worked from the same instructions, achieving the desired size with different needle sizes, yarn weights and a different number of wedges . The pattern is charted and written out and contains a schematic and sample numbers for waist circumferences 65 (70, 75, 80, 85, 90) cm = 25.6 (27.6, 29.6, 31.5, 33.5, 35.5) inches.
You will need
For adult version, Col 2 = Noro Taiyo Sock (130 g) and Col 1 = contrasting solid white yarn of corresponding weight, 3.25 mm needles (US3).
For child size version, Col 1 = Noro Taiyo Sock (50 g) and Col 2 = Mondial Cable 5 Filo Di Scozia (150 grams), 2.5 mm needles (US1.5).
