MTSA - Nans sous Sainte-Anne

Pattern is in French.  Instructions - translated -
Linen - suggested - Tilleul, approx a light yellow green

On Edinburgh linen (14 threads per cm or 36 count) a full cross stitch would be too thick.  In this case the piece should be worked entirely in half cross-stitch using one thread of silk or cotton.  (my comment - Backstitch/outlines where specified on the chart using one thread.)

On other counts of linen (Cashel - 11 per cm, 28 count; or Belfast, 12 per cm, 32 count) use full cross stitch and backstitching/outlining where specified.  (my comment - Use your preference or discretion whether to stitch using one or two threads for the full cross stitch.  Backstitch/outlines where specified on the chart using one thread.)

Backstitching/outlines :- Text - use cross stitch colour; Little window - 3031/4536; Bell tower roof - 3858/4614; Bell tower - 3857/4615
