Credit-trouble.

For weeks now, my credits dont get any higher, no matter what I do. Does anyone else have this problem too?

Ive had the same problem - Ive been on 626 for weeks - its all very odd!

The only activity that contributes to your credit count now is posting or replying. 10 thread replies get you one credit and 4 posts/threads get you slightly over 1 credit.
Online hours used to contribute significantly to your credits, but it appears that a couple of months ago, they stopped tracking online hours so you get no more benefit from that. My online hours havent increased since sometime in June. Thats why it feels like its slowed down to nothing if you dont actively reply and post.

Thanks for the info. Thats really annoying, I dont like replying to a lot of threads because sometimes it feels like Im spamming people :/

Ive found I have to post a LOT to go up.  Ive spent hours reviewing posts and replying.  I wish there was a way to determine if Ive already responded to a post - anyone know if there is?  I look at so many wonderful patterns and love 99% of them but I also dont want to, as you say, spam anyone by posting more than one comment (which isnt allowed either) and I dont want to get into trouble either since I enjoy the site very much!

The problem with posting a lot is that if they decide to recycle a post you will lose all the coins youve received when you posted that thread and all the coins you got when you replied to others comments on the thread.  If youve posted a lot and then they decide to recycle a lot of posts, which they do have to do of course from time to time, then you could lose a lot of coins.  They did this a couple of years ago and some people dropped down a level and lost of lot of coins!  Thats why theres so little activity in the forums compared to the number of members - a lot of people were posting regularly and after they lost all the coins they lost heart and so dont post much.  If they want to encourage people to post more frequently then they should take this into consideration!
