My first time doing a Chatelaine design. Ive only just started this one. These patterns require loads of different brands of floss, very expensive ones i might add. Where i thought it possible i replaced the expensive floss with DMC. Eventually beads and crystals will also be added and lots of different stitches that ive never done. For now its still just full and half cross stitches though. Also having quite a few problems finding shops to sell me the beads and some of the specialty thread i need cause i didnt want to buy from shops in America, for the simple reason of the big extra cost in shipping and custom fees this will result in. Will have to wait and see if the shop i asked to put in a special order for me will come through. Luckily i have the majority of the thread i need and the beading wont be done untill the end so for now i can keep working at it :) When its done it will be 50cmx50cm (long way to go still). Im stitching on 32 count Cream coloured Zweigart Belfast Linen.
