Materials:
Crochet Hook J (6 mm)
Crochet Hook I (5.5 mm)
Worsted (#4) weight yarn – I used a lighter worsted weight yarn like Caron Simply Soft
Ribbon or Cord for back closure
Yarn Needle & Scissors
Optional: Buttons
Stitches/Abbreviations Used:
Dc = Double Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Sc = Single Crochet
2tog = Crochet next 2 stitches together
Ch = Chain
Slst = Slip Stitch
Join = this means to join the rounds
together with a slip stitch
St(s) = Stitch(es)
Backpost & Frontpost Stitch
Rnd = Round
Beg = Beginning
Gauge Check:
Please check gauge for appropriate sizing, change hook to correct size to obtain gauge.
With Hook I: 11 rows with 15 half double crochet = 4” square
With Hook J: 7 rows with 14 double crochet = 4” square
Bloomer Shorts Sizing (measurements are included in pattern):
0-3 month / 3-6 month / 6-12 month / 2T / 3T
