Why is there a private message limit?

Why is there a 1 chat/private message limit for 24 hours? That is crazy, you send a message and then you can not reply back to the conversation. I am guessing this increases as you increase levels.
I really like this site, but this just seems ridiculous.  I understand that we need to be active and earn credits and coin. But why that should affect chat/private messages?

Yes, in DIY.2 you can send more messages, now, in DIY.1, its 1 message in 24 hours if I remember well.
The more you are active on the site, the faster you get more privileges in every level.

I agree at 200%  I am in the same situation  I will thanking some one and it is impossible  I do not understand this rule  What is the real reason?

Yes, I am in DYI 1 and I think its not right but then again, all the more reason to get to level 2

I suppose and I am working to increase my credits, but it just limits the ability to get to know others on the group.
I love this site, but I am one of those people that are constantly thinking oh this would be great if it was this way or that way.
I am not complaining in any way, I appreciate all the work and time of those that keep the site going. Big thank you to them!!!

It seemed like it took me forever to get out of DIY 1 but the way to do it is post, post, post and do your hourly tasks.  I dont understand a lot of the reasoning behind how the site operates and dont agree with some of the rules but Im sure they have their reasons.  I give a lot of credit to the mods and techs for all they do and it does take a lot of work to keep a site like this up and running.
